In this case study, the client Susan S., wanted a rehab of existing landscaping in front of the home and a new install along the left side of the home. The install on the left side of the home was to keep the mower away from the foundation, plus to beautify it and give it some curb appeal.

Process

Before beginning the project, we met with the client to get a better idea of what she wanted her landscaping to look like in the front and on the side of the home. Since there was already some pre-existing landscaping, we quoted her what it would cost to remove the exisiting landscaping in front of the home and to reinstall landscaping there, plus on the left side of the home.

Summary of Project

As a company that specializes in lawn care and landscaping, we knew we could rehabilitate the existing landscaping in front of the home and install new landscaping along the left side of the home. Not only did we meet our client’s expectations, but we also added curb appeal and increated the value to her home.

In this case, our client wanted to rehabilitate her landscaping around the front of the home and install landscaping around the left side of the home.

To start off, we consulted with the client and got a better understanding of what she wanted to accomplish during the course of the project. While meeting with the client, we assessed what needed to be done and discussed the look she wanted around the home. Taking all aspects of the project into consideration, we prepared an estimate for the materials and labor hours.

Once the estimate was accepted and we had a plan in place, our crew began removing exisiting landscaping at the front of home and filling in a hole with soil.

When that was complete, they installed a dwarf Korean Lilac Patio Tree in the middle of the bed with 5 Scarlet Flower Carpet Roses around it. From there, they also installed Stella De Oro Daylilies closer to the porch and 3 Variegated Liriope grass along the walkway. To finish up the front, they added a fresh layer of hardwood bark mulch on top to freshen up the area.

After all that was complete, they began installing approximately 80 linear feet of Buff Bella Border edging around the left side of the home (coming off of the front retaining wall at the corner, continuing down the side of the home then coming out a bit to wrap around and end at the concret pad). From there they added quality weed barrier fabric and approximately 5 tons of multi-color rock within the bed. Note: the bed was approximately 5 feet wide along the side of the house and out farther at the bottom of the hill in order to plant a tree.

Once all of this was completed around the left side of the home, they installed a Forest Pnasy Red Bud Tree in the bed next to the concrete pad (with a little mulch around the base), 10 Highlights Arborvitaes and 3 Pink Double Knockout Roses all along the side of the house (making sure they were far enough away from the home & provided ease of access to the A/C unit). To wrap it up, they applied Snapshot as a weed suppresant.

As with any job, once it was all complete we met with the client to ensure satisfaction and receive feedback.
