In this case study, the client Carolyn W., wanted to replace her landscaping that was old, outdated and being taken over by weeds. She also requested that we take care of a small section of her lawn on the front right side of the house and install new landscaping.

Process

Before beginning the project, we met with the client to get a better idea of what she wanted her landscaping to look like. Since she already had existing landscaped areas, we simply quoted her what it would cost to replace the old landscaping with a modern look. As a part of this quote, we also quoted her what it would cost to eliminate the front, right portion of the lawn where grass was not growing, replacing it with cedar mulch and ornamental grasses installed in a raised berm.

Summary of Project

As a company that specializes in lawn care and landscaping, we knew we could replace our clients landscaping and create a more modern look that would last her years.  Not only did we meet our client’s needs, but we also added value to their home, by updating their outside curb appeal.

In this case, our client wanted to replace her landscaping that was old, outdated and being taken over by weeds. She also wanted us to take care of a small section of her lawn on the front right side of the house and install new landscaping.

To start off, we consulted with the client and got a better understanding of what she wanted to accomplish during the course of the project. While meeting with the client, we assessed the current needs and discussed the changes she wanted made to the design. Taking all aspects of the project into consideration, we prepared an estimate for the materials and labor hours.

Once the estimate was accepted and we had a plan in place, our crew began removing the old landscaping (hauling away the old bushes/shrubs) and excavating the areas. 

When that was complete, Bella Border stone was laid out as an edging around the perimeter of the house.

After all the Bella Border stone was laid, the final step was to install weed barrier fabric to help control/eliminate the weeds in the future.  From there we added multi-color rock. For the front part of the yard on the right side of the house, we also installed a raised bed and planted ornamental grasses.  Once that was done, we finished off the area with Cedar mulch.  Giving it that curb appeal that any homeowner would enjoy.

As with any job, once it was all complete we met with the client to ensure satisfaction and receive feedback.
